BostonSewer and NastyWench (aka Sharon-Lizette)

I'd like to share with you the story of Tina and Sharona. We met in September of 2007, thanks to Purl Bee's blog and the Martha Stewart Show! Last Labor Day Weekend, Purl Bee posted that the Martha Stewart Show was looking for sewers for its sewing show. I didn't turn my computer on all weekend long, so I missed being one of the lucky ones who was chosen for the show. I did post a response in which I asked Purl Bee if they had any extra tickets. Sharona saw my post and offered me a ticket. Sharona lives in New Brunswick, Canada, and had never been to New York. She had a ticket and I knew how to get around the city, so it turned out to be a perfect match! Sharona drove down to Boston and we took Amtrak and went to the Martha Stewart Show! Sharona blogged all about it here. Needless to say, we have been friends since. In fact, we are going to meet up in Portland, Maine in September. I am looking forward to that!

I've written about Sharona before. You must check out her blog. She is a true crafty gal and is super-talented and super-nice. Two of her crafts even appeared on Martha's website. Check out the post on her Easter crafts here. Sharona encouraged me to start blogging. It took me awhile, but eventually, BostonSewer was born!

Hopefully, Sharona and I will make it to see Martha Stewart again, soon and share our story with her! I am a Martha fan from way back. I knew she was destined for greatness. I have the first issue of Martha Stewart Living... I'm hoping I can have Martha sign it.

Tina... I'm so glad we've become friends. I can't believe it was a year ago.

I can't wait for the guys to meet each other too.

See you soon in Portland, Maine!
